Part of NATO posturing... when the Ford carrier group rolled up in Finland, it must've filled the entire Baltic.
I guess the Soviets other guys do the same with scrambling Flankers in international airspace.

Usually the MoD is very coy about releasing any info about their capabilities - and here they are, bragging. Strange days indeed.
