Mid-Winter, down to -3 tonight. Anyway, my Mondeo decided to celebrate by eating its battery.
All good this morning, went to start her this evening and she just made all sorts of strange sounds ...all the instruments went crazy, aircon tried to start , warning lights all over the place.
When I parked it up this morning I turned everything off and removed the key ...no warning sounds.

I called the AA, and had a dude there in 20 minutes. He jump-started her, and checked the alternator (all good) but the battery test was bad, only holding 6 point something volts.
Long story short, he had a replacement in his van...great.... and with my membership, I got a discount ...really good .....I cast my mind back to a couple of months ago when I replaced my partner's Chev (Suzuki) Cruze one ....$180 or near.
Mr AA has EFTPOS ...GREAT...But how much mate ? .......$310 !!!

Anybody in the market for a 2006 V6 Mondey .....with a new battery, and $220 of gas in the tank :ph43r:

Those cars that do the switch off/start at the traffic lights, to bamboozle the fuel consumption tests?
Heavy duty battery: $650 after discount.
Stick to the Mondeo.

Soon you'll be able to get a Starter Motor that replaces both the Alternator and Starter Motor. There is also a Battery that is Eternal and it is a Battery that is long lasting that never ever goes flat.

True on both counts.
Extraordinary, and difficult to believe, but there's promise.
