I use firefox. Internet Explorer is too hard to use for me. I use tabs and IE doesn't have them, well not the older ones.

I use IE7 and wouldn't switch, it's a great browser. For some reason I cop a lot of flak for it, but it's just firefox users having some sort of superiority complex where they feel they have to bag IE to make themselves feel good. It's sad really.

Ok ok, so IE has tabbing, but i would still firefox over IE anyday. Using the comps at school is not very encouraging to switch back to IE!

I hope you are not talking about me Zolt! You don't want to see me angry ;)

I use Firefox, and IE 7 for different tasks. In some cases, I have found that FF loads certain pages faster than IE, and vice versa.

Here are the stats from my website visitors for last month:

IE6 -- 33.6%
IE7 -- 38.7%
Total IE -- 72.7%

Firefox -- 22.6%

The rest are negligible -- for instance, 3rd is Opera, with just 1.1%

This has remained pretty much static for a while now.

I use Fire Fox, before I did my windows reinstall I had IE7, I was prety impressed with it compared to IE6.

I can't install any windwos programs now as my install is "ungenuine". But FF2 does the Job, given the choice id praobly use IE7..

Of course more people are going to use IE than Firefox, but, as matt said, we FF people are kooler B)

That happened to my friend at school. It was pretty funny. (actually it happened twice: each time a different pc)

Firefox FTW. I hate IE7, its more laggy and I get lots of errors in it. I only have it installed as it came with a mandatory Windows XP update...

By the way, this topic has already been discussed at Battle of the Browsers

I uses both IE and FireFox. Mostly Firefox, but with some extensions f.x. IE Tab. So when I have a homepage that is not working correctly in FF I just press on IE Tab and then IE is running and shows the site, but still in FF. So for me it's both.

The computers at college are pretty slow. They use an old version of IE, they don't have tabs and I NEED tabs to surf the internet. Anyway i'm not getting anything unnecessary from M$

Put me down as the lone Safari user :D I do all my repainting work on a Mac so Safari is the way to go. There are plenty of Mac users who prefer Firefox over Safari though.

I do use Firefox on my PC though, as it is so much better than IE - no matter what version you're talking about.

IE's popularity has nothing to do with it being good. It is simply that it comes pre-installed on your average Windows PC and the majority of people either don't care about, or don't know enough to change it. IE will always be dominant for this reason.

Among Mac people, IE has always been known as the world's biggest 'virus' - in that it seems to be able to spread unchecked and has 'infected' a vast number of PCs. Nobody seem to know how to stop it :P

Interesting looking through some website hit stats, Windows is the operating system of choice, 80%+, but IE has far lower penetration in the browser market, around 57%.
Turns out some folks do know how to say "No".
Oh, BTW this is not IE bashing, I am a confirmed IE7 user.
(Why fix it if it works?)

Sit on the fence on this one :P

IE7 came out and the differance between it and Mozilla is hardly noticeble. Still got one operating PC using IE6 simply because of a the improved security with IE7 can prevent some things being viewed on the browser. Also helps when someone comes to me and says they have problems <_<

No do not have a preferance take what ever is being used at the time.
