According to CHASIS none of Rocket Labs rockets have ever made it into space. They have never made it past the gravity shell. The Shepherds also notice! So where is the fault? It takes 9 days to do the calculations in order to put a satellite into orbit, Neil Armstrong did that calculation back in 1957. When it is done you cannot sleep, you start and keep going until the template is done. So that is why they do not make it into orbit, who else out there is in the same category? Elon Musks SpaceX are in the same situation.

The calculations did take a few days back in the 50s and 60s because the calculations were done by humans (actually called calculators) using the old pencil and paper.
It would be minutes if not seconds now.

Oh for god's sake not again... Armstrong was a test pilot in 1957, he didn't join NASA until 1962. Astronauts never have done math heavy calculations before or during a flight, during the Apollo era, the RTCC on the ground did most of that and the state vectors were uploaded to the onboard computers via radio. The astronauts used the onboard optics to check their position. During Gemini an 8x sextant and charts were carried but that was about the limits of the math. Cowpatz is right, Katherine Johnson et al did a lot of the early work over the course of a number of years however orbital mechanics were already pretty well thought out well before men sat on top of rockets. Don't come in here trolling with your dumb ideas. I suggest this thread is shut down because it seems that we can't have a decent discussion about space without somebody being a twit.

Yes, in the past it does seem that just ignoring those posts is sufficient. I don't think that anyone here is going to see the occasional post and think, hey, he's right! There are alien bases buried deep in the planet, from which they secretly rule the earth.
Of course moderators and admin can remove posts if they are not suitable, I've been tempted myself with this sort of thing, but I'm trying not to be the internet police.
