Ok, so heres the deal. I got $100 to spend on a pc game. Problem is, I dont know what to get! (Oh no! :o )

So, some ideas?
Maybe I will get FSX. Also can someone say the differences between FSX and FSX deluxe edition?

Cheers
BB

FSX deluxe has a few extra aircraft/detailed airports/missions. It also has the SDK which you might be able to work(i can't, it's just me though). Also the best part...........The box is gold!

Also what type of games are you into e.g. only simulation, fps, rts because on those i have some recommendations.

You mean online? If so, thats alright cause I usually cant get multiplayer going on FS anyway ;)

Anything that you cant download?

Take a look here for the differences. Also the SDK is only available with Delux, so if you ever intend to develop anything, you'll need delux.

I suggest getting FSX (If your pc can handle it, unlike mine lol), not sure how much it is though, I think the deluxe version is (possibly) more than $100.

If you're going to get FSX, make sure you shell out for the Deluxe version, you'll miss out on being ATC online if you do. That alone is worth the $20 extra. And it's apprantly easier to use than the FS9 multiplayer. Extra aircraft are ones with the Garmin 1000 system fitted.

Test Drive Unlimited looks like a cool game- online MMO racing action!
Silent Hunter 4 is apparantly submarines at their best
STALKER has been in the pipes for a while, it's finally been released- take a look.

that's silly, of course trademe's going to be cheaper, but you run the risk of dealing with a non-reputable dealer, and the transaction could take a week or more
whereas gpstore has been around forever (i bought the original rainbow six from them!) and you'll get it next day!

and please don't get the standard edition of FSX! You'll just regret it later

Go with a reputable sore and not Trade Me, you may save a couple of bucks but do you really know what your getting? Could be your buying a copy stolen from a house burg and your just giving money away.

I am going to tell you a true story its up to you if you believe it or not either way I dont care because I know its true.

Few months back a 18 year old lad tried to sell me some Computer games and computer parts. Something about the guy did not ring true. Anyways a couple of days later the boys in blue paid me a visit. Asking me if anyone had tried to sell or pass any Computer bits as they put it.
Turns out the lad was involved in a burglery and him and his mates had been selling the stolen goods on Trade me. Clever little scam they had going making themselves look reputable with good reports from customers. Some of these customers were legit but had recieved stolen goods so they ended up losing the goods plus the money they had paid these people to support a habit.
This is not the kind of thing any online trader will openly admit to unless like these guys they get caught but it happens plain and simple and some get away with it. I have been bitten once by a bad sale and have several other bad trades to remind me.

When someone offers you a brand new game for half the price just wonder what lorry it fell from :ph43r:

If I bought the standard FSX instead of deluxe I can definitely see myself regreeting not shelling out the extra $$. It's a big purchase but it will last you until the next FS comes out.
