So if you haven't heard, Air NZ is not going to be serving a free biscuit on its domestic 737 services from tomorrow (free coffee, tea and water are still being served).
Is this the wrong decision? Will you miss your free biscuit?

I voted "bring back the buiscuit!!!!!!!". Those biscuits are usually pretty nice. However I haven't travelled domestic on a 737 in a looong time, so as long as the link companies still serve them I won't lose any sleep.

But when you consider the general public (not the aircraft enthusiast), they are probably there as much for the biscuit as much as they are for flying...many people are just concerned with "travelling mindlessly in style and comfort", which means sitting in your seat, eating your biscuit and drinking your tea, and not much else.

Hope that made sense!

This isnt about a biscuit this is about yet another discusting example of corporate greed and incompetant mismanagement, I demand resignations I also demand a say in how my airline is run after all as a New Zealand taxpayer I am a shareholder. 74 million profit then they start talking about more redundancies and the removal of buscuits, really I think they are going to realise that the less they maintain thier aircraft the more profit they make then look out we are now Garuda.

These pricks should be strung up as traitors to the country >nzflag<

Ask yourselves this:
What's the longest a domestic flight in NZ can take and can you last that long without food.
If so, tell ANZ to stick their biscuits where the monkey stuck its nuts.

That just takes the cake, make no crumbs about it, ANZ is trying to keep their dough and I for one will miss pulling open the sealed wrap on the packet whilst wrestling with the foil lid on the water pottle.

I reckon they should contract Maccas to develop a self serve bagel machine instead.

I voted to bring back the biscuit!

My last trip Wellington to CHCH Qantas didn't have time to serve all the passengers before it was time for landing, so I say get rid of the biscuit, but perhaps leave it on longer flights when they can serve you with some dignity, eg Auckland- CHCH / Auckland-Queenstown

I fly AKL-CHC return every year. We usually fly Qantas, but only because it's cheaper. I'd prefer to fly Air NZ because my dad can get the family into the Koru lounge before departure.
That aside, I couldn't care less if I got nothing to eat on such a short flight. I haven't paid several hundred dollars to be served a biscuit at 33,000ft. There was a similar uproard when Air NZ removed the meals from the domestic routes, and nobody misses that. It's only a reason of tradition that we get food served on board anyway.
No free cookie? Not going to sway my preferred choice of airline.

Well Freedom Air (Zeal320) don't give it to you on their flights, and to tell the truth, I didn't miss it when flying with them.

Although this is a little off topic, it sucks having to pay $3 for a cup of coffee or choclate bar, you might as well just bring your own food onboard!

Put the biscuit on the Overlander, bring back the romance of travel.

I fly Qantas when I have a choice, and don't drink coffee so don't get offered a biscuit even when I fly Air NZ. Link don't offer much other than water either way so meh.

I got a biscuit with Mount Cook (ATR) flying ROT-CHC in March last year, and I think they still serve them.

When I went to sydney on jetstar I was near death with starvation and had to fork out $5 for a mufin... was quite nice thow....

I reckon they should contract Maccas to develop a self serve bagel machine instead.
