And not like the one in Rotorua surely where we had pictures fall off the tops of cabinets and fall on the ground breaking the glass and frames. :P

I'm in Auckland (till Friday), was sitting in the bar at a motor inn at 8.24pm and didn't feel a thing.

Or maybe it was the drink ...

Interestingly enough there was one at 8:30 in the same place which was 3.6. Could this be the new Auckland volcano?

Do hope not as I am pretty close to it.
Thought it was due to the new wine from Maharungi that we decanted  this evening.

sarcasm in tone

4.5 and 3.6 Earthtremor  So you guys in Auckland are panicing about that huh? Sorry I forgot its Auckland so must have caused some major damage with a few patio chairs falling over

I would start worrying if this continues in the same place getting shallower and shallower :) Considering the city was daft enough to be built on 50 plus Volcanic cones the last formed just 250 years ago (Rangitoto)

 Would I say that about the widdle shaky wakey in Aucky Wawky?

We had one in Wellington this afternoon at about 12:41pm, it was actually in Marlborough, a 4.4. I Was on the 9th floor at work so you tend to feel them pretty easily.

You guys had another about 30 minutes ago I believe, aftershock, or that 'new' volcanoe waking up?

Yeh I felt the Welly one, I am in Mid City towers which is the most shitty built building in Welly. But note about those Akl quakes they are awefully shallow (only 7km down the first one)

yea the thing is it's on a volcanic region. Where i live i have a volcanoe to my right rangatoetoe and to the left Mt.Wellington behind that one tree hill and i can see others to the left. And thats just the ones I can see in my house. But it wasn't volcanic it was the crust letting out stress or something.
