Not something that is common to the A320.
Air VIA Bulgarian Airlines at EDDP Leipzig/Halle around 4th July.
The aircraft touched down and bounced. The tail struck on the second touchdown.
This I do find surprising as Airbus did a very comprehensive study into landing techniques including bounced landing recovery. Even though this was an Airbus study it is applicable to all aircraft.
This chap was running out of ideas and airspeed at the same time and in an effort to get a smooth touchdown managed to redesign the APU compartment ventilation system in the process.

Maybe he had a momentary impulse to go around.
It's in the manual

On the topic of "what does the pilot think he's doing??", what about this:

I am really uncomfortable with this.
Even more uncomfortable with the press describing to every wannabe highjacker that the locked cockpit door is not any deterrent at all...

Be interesting to see if there is a follow up on the local news tonight , or the typical hush hush for a couple days .
