FSX Gold, eh?
Jolly good job they quote minimum specs for this software, otherwise one could be REALLY DISAPPOINTED in the performance

System Requirements:
Disk Drive : DVD Rom Drive
DirectX : 9.0c
Operating System : Windows XP/Vista
Processor : Pentium 3 @ 1 GHz or Athlon Equivalent
RAM : 256 MB (512 MB for Vista)
Video Card : 32 MB with Pixel Shader 2.0 Support

Arr now where'd I put that hot P3 running Vista, I wonder?
Can't wait to get this bargain price.

At least P3D are coming right out and telling you your present rig will die on it, and if it ain't DX11: don't bother.

Fact is .. and your 'god' proof is its what you use a simulator for , people cannot even get the detailed quality screens you produce with all the fancy fang dangle machines , what's the old "Smith V Jones" concept , one has to beat or better the other .. I still run FS9 tho for all the addons and simply to compare .. FACT is many who try to keep up with the "Smiths" should maybe stop and have a look simply for the cost !

I'll say it again lol
You can run FSX default just fine on those minimum specs. But once you start injecting better planes, clouds, sceneries, HD textures etc and try pushing the sliders all the way to the top, then your experience may differ laugh.gif

Alister , one thing that stuck in my mind was these words from a Great 1968 movie " Repeat Please-Repeat Please "
