You love those weathers? At my office I've allways the heli-webcam from our hospital running in the background of my screen. Last week we had a heavy storm in NW-Europe; about 17 people killed......

This one that morning, bad weather has started, our last rescueflight that day.

We had sweet weather in the Gold Coast for our whole stay, untill the afternoon we flew out (Thursday 25th) when the clouds rolled up and dropped their rain- which sucked for timing as I couldn't get any decent departure photographs out of OOL.

We didn't get any lightning, but here are a few shots taken from the very top of NSW (not sure if they will interest you or not Craig lol):

1. Cloudy Byron Bay

2. Pouring with rain outside Coolangatta airport

:P Looks like fun Craig, I picked up a leaflet from the airport about skydiving there, and would have loved to go for a jump but I ran out of time and money.

I wonder how accurate that was... you would think that with the cabin pressured to around 8000 ft that an altimeter in a watch would be all out of whack...

I am surprised it read anything other than 8000ft...

or is it some fancy pants one that does GPS signal triangulation and some basic geometry (which i forgot about 2 seconds after finishing my final exam) to calculate the height??

also, do you know what sort of watch it was?

It was a fancy Tissot one with a touch screen- the altitude is given in feet (I had to convert it).
