No reply to this , so I'll do it .
Finally CNN and our own media puppets have picked up on it.... 2 years after the fact (but only because of CNN Im sure)
This could affect the whole pacific ... this isn't conspiracy theory , its real.
This cr@p is moving all over the pacific .... keep your heads in the sand if you want , but its real.

But if housing prices in auckland are more important ....then carry on and good luck..... and enjoy your glow in the dark fish .

Bring it on armchair experts .... Im in touch , daily, with people who are there , and its not good.... its just not getting out.

Saw a piece on TV the other night were some will eat fish and others won't - media is worst than the military sometimes , but it is because it is - well Japan being so populated and fish being the most primary diet make them ask ... big thing is You We are'nt told how much has been done in stopping it that not reported

Think its getting blown out off proportion , the amount of open , naked testing of nuke weapons done at Bikini atoll from the Able tests all the way into the 50s and 60s course the French Muroa and the many others all the way thru the Marshall Islands... the ocean dilutes so much by parts per billion .

There is nothing wrong with Nuclear power but for already proven they let maintenance go for so long , just like chernobyl nuclear power plant , One has to ask the question in the first place was who authorised in original planning and putting a plant in what known as a hi risk area ? .... the Japanese Govt are as bad saying yes to building it there .

Its scary stuff alright Ian .... and the way its been dealt with up until now is almost criminal . But i think maybe there could a cultural aspect to it as well , the old "losing face" thing , but man , when it comes to this stuff why not put your hand up and ask for help.
Maybe i just about too much stuff , and think everyone else should to ...sorry unsure.gif

I wonder what the rate of dissipation is like in air vs water?
I don't think the actual breakdown (half-life is affected) of the actual radio-active isotopes regardless, but would be interesting to know.

I am more concerned about those guys in the photo. Somehow I don't think those suits they are wearing are not going to do a whole lot - they look a beat cheap and nasty (unless they are lead) but as long as they have those exposure tapes/indicators stuck on and check them carefully, that is some level of safety I guess. Still, even small amounts of radiation can be harmful over time. The suns radiation causes skin cancer after all, and we cover up from that as best as possible. I am sure this stuff is much more potent and in a more concentrated form.

I have been speaking with a friend just back from Japan this morning , she lives in Sendai (close to Fukushima) and she is back here to stay , if she can.
Evidently the ocean around the plant is boiling ! My god , and the Japanese government still dont want to do anything (as in , saying how bad it is) because it may affect their chances for the next olympics !!! WTH.

Some local bloggers are asking the U.S to forget Syria , and invade Japan instead , and fix this mess .
Scary , scary stuff .

I cant verify the link .... but have a look anyway:

Water temp's in the area are cold anyways , a slight change would cause or seem to make the water boil , if only its steam , media playing the game again with no information about the cleanup operation , It maybe the best thing to happen , good example was around Hawaii after the the more extreme and hotter tempature's of the volcanic activity .

Another good example of boiling water was on the Arctic convoys around the Kola Peninisular during WWII were the waters were so cold created the same affect .

It is bad, and fortunately there is lots of water out there, but what the hell can we do about it anyway?

Strangely enough the earth produces an amount natrual radiation even , they say if a leaky boomer went down in the oceans they would not even pick it up a glow , where here they are so close to a shore line and pop and attention it Glow's !
