What a load of bollocks, sorry dude but I have alot of friends who served in the Gulf war and not one saw any flying saucers. The opening stages of Desert Storm were done using F117s that attacked command and communications as well as search radars. The only strange weapon used there was a MOAB (Mother of all Bombs) was dropped and an SAS patrol nearby thought that it was a Nuke so they put on their NBC kit.(Nuclear Biological and chemical warfare suit with gas mask) later they took it off again when they found out that it was not a nuke. The Desert Strorm was won by advanced technology and Blitzkreig tactics so the Iraqis wound up mostly surrendering due to lack of support(food etc because they took out supply convoys) and command(due to lack of communications as the F117s and other bombers had taken out the commanders radios and bunkers etc). As far as lasers are concerned thats a technology thats been around for a while but upto a few years ago was impractical as lasers require alot of energy to work they also lose strength and disapate in fog. Also the coalition had air superority from pretty much the start of the war so there was no problems in that area as for large concentrations of soldiers and defensive trenches etc they used artillery(MRLS/155s) and cluster bombs made short work of the Iraqis forces in most cases.

As for the Aurora you can read some details on it in wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_(aircraft)

From what I understand if it ever existed it was just a spy plane that was to replace the SR71 although nowdays that job is done by sattelittes.

As for flying discs:

Read up on Robert Lazar

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Lazar

and video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1Pc2aLM3jY

And how UFOs might work

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJolFbj8nc4

As with all such things I just take it as a grain of salt, theres plenty of info and misinformation out there although the gravity applification stuff does sound interesting its behaviour as he describes and its capabilitys look similar to what you see in UFO pictures and videos.

QUOTE
Claims regarding Area 51

In November 1989, Lazar appeared in a special interview with investigative reporter George Knapp on Las Vegas TV station KLAS to discuss his purported employment at "S4", a facility he claims exists within Area 51. In his interview with Knapp, Lazar said he encountered several flying saucers. He says he first thought the saucers were secret terrestrial aircraft whose test flights must have been responsible for many UFO reports. Gradually, on closer examination and from having been shown multiple briefing documents, Lazar came to the conclusion that the discs were of extraterrestrial origin. In his filmed testimony Lazar explains how this impression first hit him after he boarded one craft being studied and examined its interior.[8] Lazar claims to have "worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory (specifically in the Meson Physics facility ), involved with experiments using the 1/2 mile long Linear Particle Accelerator."[9] Knapp claimed to find Lazar's name among that of other scientists in the 1982 Los Alamos phone book[10] and have a 1982 Los Alamos Monitor news article mentioning "Lazar, [as] a physicist at the Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility."[11]

For the propulsion of the studied vehicles, Bob Lazar claims that the atomic Element 115 served as a nuclear fuel. Element 115 (temporarily named "ununpentium" (symbol Uup)) reportedly provided an energy source which would produce anti-gravity effects under proton bombardment, along with antimatter for energy production. As the intense strong nuclear force field of Element 115's nucleus would be properly amplified, the resulting large-scale gravitational effect would be a distortion of the surrounding space-time continuum that would, in effect, greatly shorten the distance and travel time to a destination.[12]

Lazar also claims that he was given introductory briefings describing the historical involvement by extraterrestrial beings with this planet for the past 100,000 years. The beings originate from the Zeta Reticuli 1 & 2 star system and are therefore referred to as Zeta Reticulans, popularly called 'greys'.[13] In popular culture, the "grey" is probably the most familiar of alien archetypes, such as the alien who is the protagonist in the 2009 film Paul, a comedy about a grey who escapes Area 51. In the film the alien character "Paul" discusses the use of his image in the media to prepare Earth's culture for a possible meeting with his alien culture, also supposedly from Zeta Reticuli.[14]

Lazar's stories have garnered considerable media attention and controversy. Lazar's story has its supporters and skeptics, including Stanton Friedman, a ufologist who looked into Lazar's claims and did his own investigating on the matter.[15]

Another Lazar debunker is Dr. David L. Morgan. Morgan looked into all of Lazar's scientific claims and claims to have scientifically refuted most of the ideas that Lazar had elaborated on in his description of the alien spacecraft, particularly its propulsion systems and use of Ununpentium, or Element 115. Morgan said that "After reading an account by Bob Lazar of the "physics" of his Area 51 UFO propulsion system, my conclusion is" this: Mr. Lazar presents a scenario which, if it is correct, violates a whole handful of currently accepted physical theories. That in and of itself does not necessarily mean that his scenario is impossible."[16] Morgan went on to argue that "the presentation of the scenario by Lazar is troubling from a scientific standpoint. Mr. Lazar on many occasions demonstrates an obvious lack of understanding of current physical theories."[16][[/quote]

Robert Lazarrs story is quite interesting you have to read the tape manuscripts to see what actually happened with him his identity was nearly erased by the Government according to his story. He got hired by an organisation and was flown to Groomlake where he worked on this stuff.(one of the FSX missions is based on this where you fly a 737 to groomlake) Later he knew that they were testing those discs at a certain time of the month on a certain day so he started taking friends and family there to watch. He even took a TV crew there and they filmed some before he got in trouble. Interesting story and some theroies are more feasible than what you usually hear.

that doesn't really mean much now days.
I know people that have no letters after there name so to speak
who are far more intelligent and know much more about their field than
the people with all the credentials. Most of them tend to be people who get the letters then get the pay and the learning stops.
Not all I know a few people who have honers and masters etc etc that are also very intelligent but what i mean is credentials don't mean a lot
really unless maybe your an employer......

An interesting thought: "... violates a whole handful of currently accepted physical theories". So, are "we" as humans prepared to have "currently accepted physical theories" challenged? It's a common misconception that, for some odd reason, "scientists" are totally objective and ONLY work on imperical data. The problem with that notion is that said scientists are still humans: they put their trousers on one leg at a time, brush their teeth, have showers, kick the cat when they're angry (not really - just kidding Ian...) - all those things that we mere mortals do. And they also have something else: a worldview through which they interpret their lives and their work. As one person was famous for saying:"If you torture the data long enough, it will confess to anything". If we can accept that "scientists" and all the "gurus" and "really smart people" are actually just as capable of having an axe to grind and see the world and their work through their "coloured glasses", then we can also stop this silly game of assuming just because a person has a massive string of letters after their name and credentials up the wazoo, they MUST be right.

I don't know anything about Mr Lazar, but I know enough about life itself to know there are a great number of things that defy explanation, and that humanity has really, if it's honest, only just begun to scratch the surface of understanding the universe. We quickly forget that not so terribly long ago "current accepted physical theories" also included the world being flat and earth having the sun / universe revolve around it, and the stars being holes poked in a fabric. We laugh at such nonsense now, because we're edjumacated and KNOW that such things are the products of "unenlightened thinking". And yet, only 110-odd year's ago, it was stated as fact that that there were only 4 dimensions and that the cells that make up our bodies were nothing more than blobs of protoplasm - and those little gems from "educated scientists".

So when I read things like "...which, if it is correct, violates a whole handful of currently accepted physical theories", I'm thinking:"And?" It's naive at best, arrogant at worst, to assume that humans know enough about the universe to categorically state that ANYTHING is impossible. Heck, right now the best we can do in understanding the 6 other dimensions (that we KNOW about, never mind how many there might actually be) is to INFER their existence mathematically! I've seen, heard and read compelling evidence that shows our universe to be digital in nature, not analogue (that's a very long conversation about quantisation and non-locality). That, in and of itself, puts the monkey wrench into all manner of "currently accepted physical theories" if one has the mind to grapple with such esoteric things. The information that energy flows into our universe at the sub-atomic level every microsecond should have us all wondering "where does it come from?". And if that doesn't get us questioning just how good a bead we have on what constitutes "reality" and "currently accepted physical theories", a quick delve into quantum physics should cure that.

It's my own personal opinion that the universe is even weirder than any SciFi could ever imagine. Given how much we've learned in the last 100 years, and the many tantalising possibilities that dangle just out of our reach, it wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that there are "localised" areas / regions of the universe - which may vary in size from a single solar system all the way up to a local group of galaxy clusters, where the "laws" we love and cherish simply don't apply. And it's only a stubborn insistence on "having a bead on reality" that generates the chorus of guffaws and snorts that seem to eminate from those (and I'm not thinking of any specific person) who feel the need to have "currently accepted physical theories" as the be-all and end-all of their lives, so as they don't have the boat of their world rocked too much.

It's true that there IS quite a lot of bollocks and outright nonsense floating about the place these days. But not all of it comes from tin-hatters - a large amount of FUD comes out of "the establishment", whether intentionally or thru ignorance. I maintain that there is, on our near horizon, to be revealed all manner of things that will unsettle people and challenge people's "bead on life". Whether it trickles out to "us" via movies, media or world events as it has over the last 75 years, or whether it comes via a series of orchestrated events, or via a single phenomenal event, I don't know. I suspect that "what's coming" will use as many avenues as possible so as to achieve maximum effect. Maximum effect of what, you may ask? In the words of the holographic doctor from I, Robot:"That, lieutenant, is the right question".

For the record, no, there isn't a single place where I get my information in order to form the picture of "stuff that goes on". Nor do I believe there IS actually a way to easily come by the information necessary to form such a picture. Instead, I poke about in all sorts of places, weighing up the veracity of what I see, hear or read, juxtaposing it against my world view and what I hold to be real / true, then forming a mosaic of the pieces. Even then, the "whole picture" is very difficult to discern (not by accident, I believe), and sometimes, like with a jigsaw puzzle, pieces need to be moved and fitted with others in order to make proper sense. The truth is indeed "out there" (in all the ways that term can be applied), but it's extremely difficult to discern the exact nature of that truth. ninja.gif

Did'nt read any of the above .. i yawn after .. hang what hour is this ohmy.gif .. fact is its strange how Dr Vincent Orange a military historian with the DR in front requested a confirm of aircraft types in a book that Vincent was to published about Sir Arthur Tedder AC/RAF .. I was asked to look confirm and in return have the book on the shelf here .. .. give a person a label and fact is many dont no dang didley swat ! only because they have a uni degree , back then my bizz was mechanical and then run into many of those twits with engineering deg.s.

The original posting was from one from an old work place were everything was a conspriracy and bugger and be damned if you did not heed to stupid rule and regulations you were out BUT the people making those very rule or policing them allowed to do it because they had a credential , a piece of paper .

I read it not a bad post ref Bob Lazar(his credentials were actually erased by the government, but they did find his name in an old phone book) he did say that his boss was thinking on dropping one of those UFOs out the back of a transport plane(they had 9 of them back then) so it could be finally revealed to the public but they were joking at the time lol.
As for proof of this sort of carry on there are people who everyday go through released Topsecret files that are no longer top secret in the US and they have a website here with some interesting stuff.

http://majesticdocuments.com/

As I've stated I just take it as a grain of salt until I should ever see anything to prove otherwise.

And if you look here at SOM101 you will see a manual for what to do if you have a real crashed UFO lol.
