Great link - thanks. I didn't realise what a very wide assortment of aircraft were used. I suppose it figures - it wasn't that long after WWII, so it makes sense to see B17's, B29's, Corsair's & Mustangs still working hard. I'm sure one than one pilot who'd seen action throughout WWII wished he'd had one of those jets. And did I see a Gloster Meteor in amongst those pics?

Pete , after Wubular Wubular II Korea was the testing ground ... in a way the final battle ground for many , the AB-26 still had tons of life and bombs to delivery in a later war as did the AD-1 , great series of photos cool.gif

Yes thanks for the link - a great browse.
The Corsair in the ditch about 3/8 down just blows me away...
Just such a great photograph, you could weave a tale around it.

Yeah, I found it, had a very quick look and decided to post it.

Now having had time to sort thru it decided it's "a keeper."

I honestly said in my head "poor baby" to the shot of the Skyraider wrecked on its belly in one of the shots halfway down. laugh.gif Love the Skyraider shots here, this is a great page. Thanks for sharing. Bookmarked
Great to see the pilots and crews too. Times have changed, I'm glad someone took a photo to remember these moments.
