I'm sure i could make the model without buying the above and at a larger scale ....ooooh with maybe a heck a lot more detail

but at 5ft tall put it on a crawler with launch it still would look good sitting in a corner here .

Amazing how they hold the integrity , the fuel basicly keep the the shape , without it would cave in on itself , 300 ft long rocket would make for a interesting view , just a pity they have not stood one up or made one as a tourist climb in a replica .

Yeh you get a different perspective when its lying on its side. Better than nothing though. Im absolutly facinated with it as a machine, nothing compares.

Those Dragon models sure look good. I once started researching and making a few bits for a 1/72 scratch build to go with my Shuttle model, before my model days faded away. The engines proved too hard to try to make.
Anyway here's one to up your "Holy cr@P" to elephant dung proportions!!

Frankly Nick , I don't think Deane should be putting further ideas in my brain case

... have the safe concrete pad here and a blockhouse for launch .. but the other part could get a little outta hand

I reckon I could build a model like that, but only static and of course if I had the money for all the materials!. But well done to him - awesome work.

Sure Greg would be a dang happy young camper even if you got the model on the drawing board , be no stopping .. sandwich's and coffee delivered every hour or so going thru the plan and build .

Look at the detail, I dunno if I want to attempt scratch building one. Might just settle for the 1:96th one.
