Gentlemen,
today I have the sad duty, to inform You about the death of Igor Suprunov, former Designer for addons for FS 2004 and FS X and Real-Pilot since 1986 in the night of 25./26. April 2012. The near circumstances are unknown.

He was burried 2. May 2012. He leaves his woman and two children.

Igor was a real Pilot, has learned the Lessions at the school of Aeroflot in Akthubinsk, 1985. After this he was 1 F/O flying Antonow An 24 in Sibiria. After the USSR colapsed, he went on with UTAir, flying An 24 and Yak 40. But he was a man always to find new horizons and he went on to fly the Boeing 737-500. But this failed, because of the bankrupt of Air Union.
Later the small family moved to Moscow. He applied with Aeroflot and was accepted. He got the Typerating for Airbus A 319/320/321 and was underway all over Europe...

Igor was also known as a brillant aircraft-designer for Microsoft Flight Simulator. His superb Yak 40 (FS 2004) and the not completed DeHavilland "Vampire" are recognised. The Vampire is a good aircraft, but lacked the VC in Version 1.6...

... and he was a personal friend of mine.

Igor, dear old friend, you are never forgotten... never.

Very sorry to hear this... and a great loss to the flightsim community.
Not much good news coming out of Russia in the last while, the crash of the Sukhoi Superjet demonstrator also a severe loss.
