It makes you appreciate the good airlines even more. I have just tried many, many times to make a booking with TAP Air Portugal. Not one of the world's great airlines, but I thought better than some of the alternatives.......not so......

Every time that I tried to pay for the ticket, the system refused to accept my VISA card. Telephoned the VISA company, who confirmed that no, there were absolutely no problems with my card and everything was working fine.

Tried again and again to book, same result. TAP Air Portugal did not like my VISA card. Thought that I would send them a message on their contact form, but it appears to be permanently broken, something that you find out only after you have written the message. I did manage to find an email address hidden on their website (and indeed, it was well hidden, a real challenge to find it), so sent them a message. Got an automated message back that they will reply in 6-8 WEEKS. What sort of customer service is this???

I guess that the message is very clear. Useless airline so best avoided. I guess that I will be back with my usual Lufthansa.

Not a very happytraveller today. I hope that TAP Air Portugal goes bankrupt soon. They deserve to. sad.gif

smooth landings.

Guess we no who to ask if we are go on our world travels , think you will have to slap em around abit when closer to the shores , i am surprised tho , with the amount of hours you have flown internationally base for frequent travels with the European airlines , is there no log and course how many times have you flown TAP .

Still no reply from TAP, but they did say 6-8 weeks. Easy solution for me though, they have now lost bookings to Madeira and also a second trip to Dakar. I just hope that they go out of business. You can understand why Portugal has problems if this is typical. I gave up totally with them now, so will not fly with TAP. Another off the list.

smooth landings.
