Well, I just thought I'd share my view on recently released "simulation" softwares.
When I was browsing on simmarket, I came through this German company, Astragon. They released a whole bunch of lame simulation games, with graphics from the 90's and average program size of 250MB...To be honest I'm not sure if they make any money at all. On the other hand I understand the idea behind this childish venture. People get the chance to do stuff they couldn't do in real life: taking trash to the landfill area (Garbage Truck Simulator), mowing the neighbour's lawn (Garden Simulator) or drive around boring streets, in boring cars (Drive Simulator). Yes, I'm being sarcastic. But wait, I have more fantastic ideas: what about Ironing Simulator 2012 or Goat Milking Simulator Professional Edition...
I thought it couldn't get more ridiculous...Well,I was wrong. Another well-known (yes I'm sarcastic again) German company joined the club with their innovative Bungee Jumping Simulator!!! Isn't that amazing? It was so cool I had to start up my Party Fridge Simulator and celebrate with a virtual beer...
Sorry guys, I had to get it out of my system...
PS: I'm aware that there are some serious simulation softwares out there like Railworks 2, and World of Subways 3. That's a whole different level, and it's not even comparable to any of those silly ones mentioned above.
