September 1992, Snow shut the city down , July 2011 , this storm - 24 hours off constant snow BUGGER! .. this is the wrong year for this stuff and is far worst than the 92 dumping

What snow? Looks like sunny Blenheim has dipped out again, which is fine by me. Nasty stuff, I emigrated to get away from it and I'll never understand why the Scots settled in Dunedin! rolleyes.gif

The Naki is having a good dump of white stuff too. My parents in Stratford couldn't find this mornings newspaper under the 3-4" on the front lawn. Snow fell in Hawera too - enough to blanket cars.

Pete (in warm Hamilton)

There is a new Facebook page called "Christchurch has snow, it’s the icing on the quake"

May as well throw my 10c worth in....nothing else to do at the moment. Strange how these appear almost black and white....sorry about the size of the pics....

Much prefer this to the quakes.....at least you can see this coming.

You can protect yourself against the snow as well, a lot less random....Earthquakes don't get every piece of clothing on you saturated though. tongue.gif

Pete , you could say that , rather have the cake without the icing , weather here will really put a damper on any fix ups here and course the cold kills .
