Seen on new this morning footage of a classic B17 bomber burning up on a corn field ,very sad looking at this thing burn ,all 7 onboard got out ok from the burning plane

Being a Boeing B17 Flying Fortress fan that really is so sad , what a waste . sad.gif

Liberty Belle, engine fire that got out of hand and put down in a field, all 7 pax ok, but sad loss.

I really hope they are able to salvage some parts from the wreck. So sad sad.gif .....

Heart wrenching..apparently if the fire engines could of got to it (the field was too boggy) they probably could of saved it...but the crew and passengers just had to sit there and see it burn.

At least nobody was injured and if the fire had happended whilst it was flying over a city or rough terrain away from an airport it could of been a lot worse.

I saw this last night. It was N817BR of the Liberty Foundation. It was the one that was used by Pratt & Whitney for their T34 and T64 turboprops. Very sad but at least everyone got out.
