Just got back from the Western Australian mining town of Karratha where I saw this plane standing for several days at the Airport. I'll be the first to admit that I
don't know much about the heavy iron, much more of a Cessna man myself. I couldn't work out what this squat number was, probably belong to one of the
mining companies there. Tried to get a shot from outside the terminal but got accosted by security so shot this one out the plane window when leaving for Perth.

Interestingly, this is one a the busiest regional airports in Australia. They fly hundreds of contract workers in and out every day, while we waited for our flight, three
Boeing 717's flew in within 25 minutes, presumably from Perth, Melbourne etc. The flight from Melbourne takes over 4 hours, Perth 2 hours. Qantas do a direct flight
from Auckland to Melbourne, then on to Karratha. And yes, I did google the rego without success...
