It is bad ! , makes the NZ Christchurch quake seem .. well tiny by compare , Japan was known as an earthquake country , Christchurch was known to be immune , makes you look around .. on a further note my brother Rick stopped through this afternoon , he wants the Battleship mounted in a safe non destructable place .. for the 20th this March

Well if they are predicting another on the 20th anyones welcome to my place for a BBQ and beers, got ten acres to roll round in bring a tent and food got a bon fire already to go. Am so over the earth moving!!!

Phew.....just heard from one of the Girls....both are ok....they were in Osaka, their familys are close to sendai but safe......bloody hell what a month.

No offence Ian, but Milky's 'Wide Open Spaces' option seems the better alternative to me make sure Mission Critical Equipment (MCE), i.e. Beer/BBQ, generator (to keep the fridge going to keep the beer cold of course!) is checked and stowed in a safe place

Just occurred to me that we might want to rename this NZQF (Quake Forum) as this topic has been the key generator of forum traffic since 22 Feb How about a RESCUE theme for next month's screen shot comp????

Ian (Milky) i might take you up on the offer....i have 1 very scared(about the 20th) flatmate left here + cat, that are looking to get out for the weekend(with me as well).......dont have a tent or anything, but can sleep in the car.
Meat and beer is not a problem.......its odd, i dont hold much faith in the moon guy, but i dont knock folks who do.....so if we can head south it would be good.....but where are you?

I'm sick of hearing about the moon man and other earth quake predictions. Too many people are believing in what is just basic statistics and its not helping anybody. Everyday there are dozens of 3-5 even 6 magnitude earthquakes happening along known fault lines, its just basic historic fact. SO all the predictors are doing is to chuck in a few dates, then say plus or minus 3 days, then add a magnitude range of 4-6 and then a location with a range of 500km. By doing that you have just about everything covered !!
Fact - none of them predicted the worlds 7th biggest quake.

I know what your saying, but Im just trying to keep everybody happy....and its bloody hard....so if she wants to go with her cat, then I'll take her....Im sick of hearing about him/it as well....but you do what you have too. Its not easy here.....shake after shake....power on and off...not knowing which water is clean and which isnt.......to scared to have a damm shower because you dont know if you'll get another big one.

I suppose there are too many of these people predicting meaning atleast one will be right at predicting one lol, then everyone will believe their theory. I don't mind ken ring, i dont fully believe in him. What he says makes sence and his sucess rate for it is good enough for me to keep looking at his predictions. But when it comes to his weather predictions, they are rubbish.

Having showers , cleaning , one Canadian down the back from the back flat just happened to be doing that nice refreshing thing , leaned on my front fence for the rest off the day , the best ride he ever had , now moved away
