in one of the forums, someone posted a video of two 747s having a drag race. it thought it was a great video and reminded me of a particular comic from Calvin and Hobbes (by Bill Watterson). Calvin sure likes his aviation and his imagination knows no bounds, so here's a sample of aviation related comics:

I have never heard of Calvin and Hobbes before, it isn't a NZ thing is it?

it's an american comic. the NZ herald used to publish the 4-panel comics every day, but stopped doing it about 8 or so years ago.

never heard of Calvin and Hobbes?? You poor thing... its one of the funniest cartoons ever!

He (Calvin) is a small boy with a very active imagination and a wicked sense of humour[1]. His sidekick (Hobbes) is actually a stuffed toy tiger, but 'appears' alive :)

You should see if you local library has any of the books... they're bloody brilliant.

cheers,
HCP

[1] You need to see some of the cartoons involving snowmen!

Here's a couple more. I love the detail Watterson puts into his illustrations.
