Here we go again................just when we thought they were over....or at least becoming less frequent.

Date / Time Depth Mag Energy Released Address (or somewhat close to)

26-Dec-10 08:03:41am 4.11 3.83 8 tonnes 192 Montreal St, Christchurch Central 8011, New Zealand
26-Dec-10 05:34:04am 3.39 2.69 163 kg 282A Breezes Rd, Aranui 8061, New Zealand
26-Dec-10 02:32:10am 5.86 3.74 6 tonnes 155 Fitzgerald Ave, Christchurch Central 8011, New Zealand
26-Dec-10 02:07:03am 5.12 4.21 32 tonnes 230 Antigua St, Christchurch Central 8011, New Zealand

Scary thing is, these are all coming from right under the city, the geo dudes have this ring laser thing that can pin piont the epicentre to within a few meters (as per the "address" heading)

Oh well, not much we can do except watch the stress cracks get bigger......had a new addition to the collection of cracks already, right across the kitchen/dining area roof.......

I hope you guys up in the BOP dont get too many more either..........Sorry that info is all pushed together...tried to space it out, but in preview it changes...

Shaky isles indeed...

We get them all the time here but they are usually deep and out to sea:

# Reference Number: 3436930
# NZDT: Sun, Dec 26 2010 0:59 am
# Magnitude: 5.9
# Depth: 230 km
# Details: 80 km north of White Island

The ones I'd be worried about a the moment are the ones happening around Wairoa / Gisborne area.

Hold on tight!
