Hi, folks!

Yesterday, I've had a very nice encounter I'd like to share with you:

As some of you probably know, I'm a civil registration officer. In this job, it's not only marriages I have to perform, it's also about recording births and deaths.
But without any doubt, being a marriage officer is the most interesting part of the job.

I don't know how many New Zealanders currently do live in Berlin (didn't found any statistic data about this), but yesterday, I came to know some of them.
I had a wedding couple, consisting of a groom from Germany and a bride, born at Hamilton, NZ.
So my wedding hall was full of kiwis, and you can't imagine their reaction as I welcomed them with a heartfelt Kia Ora!
The crowd was stunned... biggrin.gif

One of the few moments in which I really love my job!

Cheers,
Markus.
