Any one got Linux YDL 6.2?

A forum for everything else that does not fit into the other categories

Hi, been doing some reading lately and want to try putting Linux YDL on my PS3.

But at 3.8Gbs I got less interested about it.

However if someone here has a copy of it: "yellowdog-6.2-ppc-DVD_20090629.iso" that could throw it on a DVD and put it in the post let me know. I will be happy to reimburse you of course.

Thanks a lot,

Nick

Does it have to be YDL? Loads of "tiny" Linux distros around.

Is there an NZ mirror for it? I can grab it and put it onto DVD for you.

For YDL? No, there is an Au one but it doesn't have the latest version on it. Here is the URL for a USA one:
http://ydl.oregonstate.edu/iso/yellowdog-6...VD_20090629.iso

If you do D/L it then thank you very much Adam biggrin.gif

How big is your PS3 HDD? I'm looking at getting a 320GB one for a reasonable $90

ive only got a 250gb. but i use my 1tb external for music, movies and pictures .

what games you got ill meet you online... so far ihave red faction guerrilla and a few demo's. and a really bad game that i got for free with the console. after work tomorrow and before we set of for napier, ill get a couple more games.

actually, replacing the hdd with a 320 aint a bad idea. it would save me having to transfer the files i want from the 1tb drive to a flash drive and then onto the console. damn fat32
