My dear laptop decided to have a (censored  ) and the motherboard packed up. $700 to fix the damn thing up, and I dont know what Im gonna do with it. Most probably sell on trademe as a non working laptop for $500 (+700 to fix it, thats a $1500 laptop for $1200!) AFter this, Im going to sell me bike, earning me another extra $150 or so. Then I will add in my $240 that I have already and in the end I will have about $900? Enough to get a new computer. The really good news?? Im changing to desktops!!!! Yes, I finally managed to convince my parents that laptops are stupid, especially for a 15 year old with intentions of hard gaming. So, if any of you are looking for a cheap laptop, or a bike, check out trademe.

As a result of this, my flightsimming has been suspended indefinately, so I have been forced to make do with the old laptop for a few weeks. Wish me luck!

i installed FS98 on my laptop last year - big mistake, it really is awful. even compared to x-plane it just isn't worth the effort, so don't.

i thought your laptop was new, isn't it under warranty from dell?

when I first started simming I brought fs9 and it ran too poorly on my parants pc so I got fs98 and for about 6mounths I installed everything from NZCH scenery to FMCs, I could calcultate V-speeds, have a realistic FMC fly into realistic scenery in alright looking ac with great sounds and even dynamic traffic in anz freedom and qantas colours :D (although a "good" panel had autobrakes owww lol)

And I never got a stutter or low performace! And some flightdynamics were as good as fs9 from memory, yeah I do quite like fs98  hehe If you spend enough time looking for add-ons youl have an alright sim.... Depaneds what you expect ;)

i expect the 737 engine intakes to be concave, not convex!
the virtual cockpit is just a box with 6 sides, the standard scenery is appaling for new zealand and the adventures more often than not end up where there's either an engine failure on take off or you fly aimlessly for hours waiting for directions that never come.

in its day, it was great. but in 2006 its not worth the plastic on the cd.

its 2 years old second hand. It WOULD be under warranty still, but Dell decided to say that since we're different owners to the guy that brought it from dell, they void the warranty...
