At 2:45pm today 70 years ago, Germany will have declared war on Poland. It is interesting for me to measure in my own mind how long it will be for those that went through it. 2015 seems along time away, which in between these times, many historical milestones will be reached.

I find it amazing that one country can nearly conquer Europe against the allies.

Mmmm interesting.
Amazing achievement.
It took several countries to bring them to their knees.
O I just read that Germany had its first jet flying in 1941 i think it was.
However Hitler didn't see the need of them so the development was scraped.
We are truly en-dept to those who fought for us and went though all of the horrors of WW2

it is amazing the power that one man can have and acheive, so many good men and women were lost on both sides, myself having war vets from both wars (WWI, WWII) in the family (as most other families would have) never got to meet my great grandad and my grandad never talked much about it either, too many people died let us hope that none of us never have to live through what the veterans went trough.
germany was very close to winning, espically if some crucial plans had been followed through, the jet aircraft is one, going against russia was another. let us hope history never repeats
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
