looked to me like his approach speed was far to high as well, see how he floated down the runway for ages after leveling off! def should have gone around but then sometimes peoples urge to just get it on the ground and end the flight overtakes common sense, i know ive put it on the deck once or twice when i really should have gone around.

Chances are he wasn't an experienced pilot at that airport either, I doubt the airlines flying in there would take pilots with little or no experience at that airport.
Great quality video, seen it a couple of times now, always good to watch though.

Although I'm not normally one to criticise another pilot's flying based on an internet video in which the whole story may not be apparent, I have to say that to me this shows a very serious lapse of judgment - granted it's obviously not an easy airport to land at, but by the time he was half way down the runway and still not on the ground (or even earlier given the short length and apparently high approach speed) he really should have realised that a go-around was the only safe option. Really the only situation I can think of that would excuse it would be if there was some other major problem which made a controlled crashlanding preferable to attempting to remain airborne, but there isn't anything to indicate that was the case.
In any case, this is a good example of why it's always important to pick a touchdown point even when not attempting a precision landing, and especially so at an airport with a relatively short runway, beyond which a go-around should be executed if the plane still hasn't touched down.

Cool link!! As FlyingKiwi pointed out - we don't know all the facts. Harking back to my initial flying lessons, I distinctly recall my instructor saying there are some real 'gotchas' when making approaches to 'non-standard' runways - such as sloping runways, runways perched on top of hills, or in this case having to fly down sloping terrain to land!! Like you've all said - plenty of options to him other than the one he took.............. which was stand like HECK on the pedals and lock up the brakes as you skid off the end of the runway!! And I also noticed his weren't the first set of skid marks left on the runway either (No potty comments please!!). It may not have happened if he was in a helicopter!!

Thanks - Well its fair to say FSX is nothing like the real thing. For a start if you overshoot, theres a fair bit of land left, before you even get close to the beach. The clincher though is the big building in between !!

If you want the real TFFJ experience, get Fly Tampa St Maarten. Its exactly like that video, one of the best scenery packages around.
