Much of our present English road system was paved by the Romans over two thousand years ago, and much of it can still be seen in places!!

The final part of the exploration of the old; "Roman Road" (A4103) in Hereford City that I remember motorcycling in the 1940's and onwards!

Remembering all the amazing results of the road-building, etc, work, that the Romans accomplished in Britain, two thousand years ago!

Many of my North American and Canadian Biker Chums are laying up their Motorcycles for the Winter season now!
But my trusty steed is the only means of my daily transport, so, come rain, shine...or even snow. we still have to keep going, with a cheery smile and a happy song...and dream of Summertime!.... .... ....!

Whilst most/all of my Motorcycling chums from the upper reaches of North America and Canada have laid up their trusty steeds for the Winter, myself and Daisy (Honda CMX250C Rebel) still need to go shopping every day, no matter what the weather throws at us, even in the depths of Winter!... ....!
During a dry spot, a couple of days ago, we travelled to Mr Sainsbury's shopping emporium via a secret back entrance (Ooh-eerr!... ...) to avoid the main road heavy traffic....

Lovely days are few and far between for us now, as we approach the depths of Winter! At the moment it's mostly wet and windy, with temps around the mid 50's F. Still to cool for me to be comfortable on my Bike! I have to wait for gaps in the weather...warm and dry gaps!

Not sure why this is such a hypnotic watch... may be the sight and sound of a short-shifting motorcycle!
Around here (I surmise) our breakfast runners spend all of Friday night and Saturday removing the baffles from the Harley exhaust.
Then Sunday morning they attempt to stuff a piston down the aperture they created.
The rest of the weekend must be spent congratulating themselves on again avoiding The Law.

I have contemplated installing a lie-flat blowup doll that pops up in the road when it hears better than 120 dB

It's a; "little boy stuff", Charl, which I have enjoyed since the age of 16 in 1950 when I got my first Driving Licence and my first of my many motorcycles!

Fresh air and freedom at the age of 85!

...a bit like a Sopwith Camel!

(Many of the Pilots at my Local Airfield ride Motorcycles to the Airfield).
