Every now and again when doing aero club trips while someone I dont really know is flying I can get a bit edgy. Im ok if im doing the flying or if im in the front. Im scared of heights though.

hmmm....Im not afraid of flying par se.....but I am afraid of my my own abilities (i.e. Do I REALLLLLLLY know what im doing) haha....but i guess that is something that any pilot thinks. It should prompt one to keep learning all they can about aviation.

A funny story actually, I took my (now ex) girlfriend up for a flight...just a few circuits etc with an instructor. We did a couple of circuits and then the instructor pulled the power just after take off (EFATO) and I went through all the drills and set up for a forced landing in a field.......but i kinda totally forgot that she was in the back seat haha and didnt let her know that we were just practicing haha...add to that, she told me AFTERWARDS that she is really freaked by flying hahaha....so yeah, she was cr*pping her pants in the back seat

Yep, we are no longer together ;)

I have no fear of flying - it is the fear of crashing that keeps me awake!

The longer I work Tower and watch what actually happens out there - the longer it is between flights! :(

I'm not scared.

But when I start to really think about what it would feel like if the engines got ripped off in bid flight while I'm comfortably sitting in a 777 at 39,000 feet I get a little worried cause I know what it feels like to free-fall a few metres so you know (I mean literally dropping no lateral movement)

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Well the chance of an aircraft ever just freefalling due to engine loss is next to none... Aircraft glide quite well on no power...It when the wing falls off then your toast :ph43r:
