Alex

Longer flights where hot drinks are involved biscuits tend to follow, I don't typically fly heartland-metro unless its Christchurch-Invercargill, and thats been awhile since I did that.

dunno where you heard that, i read that decent lollies will still be free (something that Qantas doesn't offer >nzflag< )

Which is another reason why you don't need to be served food on the aircraft. Airport departure lounges in the main centres have decent cafes and such. Let's be honest, if you're hungry and you're running late, a cookie is not going to kill off your hunger anyway.

I remember the days when Air NZ served warm Cookie Time cookies (the big ones too). And the chocolate used be melty and delicious... soooooo gooood.

Just about every flight I've made over the last couple of years has been to photograph as airport. I fly in, spend 8 hours taking photos, stopping only when I run out of steam. Although I take a couple of breaks during the day for airport food, I normally 'discover' the cookie I tucked away in my pocket on the flight, somewhere where I'm miles away from the cafe and hanging out for a sugar fix.
Now I'd have to remember to pack something extra, it just wouldn't be the same!

While I do like the cookie i think they could give you something larger than a ten cent peice...

In my "extensive" experience (i.e., 1) of domestic AirNZ flights, I have concluded that the biscuit is entirely necessary to take away the taste of the appalling instant coffee. Better coffee would obviate the need for the biscuit, but then demand a stick of Whittaker's dark......

I would gladly pay the price of a large gobstopper to be placed in the mouth of every small infant shortly before entering the Wellington Rollercoaster.

This was on Closeup on TVone not long ago, though they didn't really tell you much...

Get rid of them. The ones I had were disgusting. They weren't biscuits, they were bricks!
