omg is that the same 'fecal matter brown' as its been nicknamed in my family as my sisters car LOL. ahhh she gets such flak for it. although it would be different if hers was a convertable or even a sedan, but its one of these 4x4 for no reason family cars

I did own a '94 Skyline GTS25 5 spd manual up to a few weeks ago. I had her for 10 years... That was until a police car smashed into it while it was parked. Told the story 1,000 times already, so won't go into it again.

Was the constable's fault though. Insurance company wrote my car off and I've been paid out.

I actually bought a new vehicle today. A '97 Landcruiser Prado TZ 3.4L petrol. I've got a boat and want to be able to launch off the beaches, so this is much more suited. I'll miss the Skyline though.

I found this on Trademe not long back, it sold so cheap for what it is. I was gutted I don't have the money at the moment..

I love that shape 7 series, its a pity the models before/after are so ugly..

wooh must be a storey behind the Skyline....was the cop not watching where he/she was going?

What if the 7 series broke (as they often do) in your ownership VAC ..repairs would cost you a fortune (thats why they are so cheap)!

As Paul said... For that price it's a potential money-pit.
Theres a stunning Audi RS6+ (500bhp, AWD wagon for those not familiar) sitting in Singapore at the moment - Asking about $30k NZD, which is a steal for a 6yr old car that sold for just over $300k new BUT...
What happens when the DRC suspension dies? Factory life expectancy was only 5-10yrs, but plenty of them are spitting out shocks on average once every two years

$16k all up to get new ones on all 4 corners...

Bought my first car today, snapped these pics quickly in the garage:

1986 Alfa 33 1.5 QV. Boxer engine so sounds sweet, and she's mint too. Bought off my best mate with 2 new tires and a new exhaust. Good deal!

A few weeks after the cops wrote off my car, I took possession of a 1997 Landcruiser Prado TZ 3.4L petrol.

It's a lot more comfortable to drive than the Skyline, tows the boat like it's not there and there's plenty of room for dive/fishing gear in the back. Very happy!

My dad had one ages ago (bought one brand new) anyway one thing you've got to watch out for is the air con stuffing up, it happened all the time with dads.

Yeah my dad owned a new one back in 1986 too- Mum said it's one of the reasons she went out with him in the first place!

Yeah no aircon in this one so that shouldn't be a problem. The electrics and rust are the biggies with these, this one has almost zero rust and the electrics are still going strong.. Touch wood.

what is it with you lot and alfas?? you all must be auto mechanics and sparkies!!! from what i was told anyways, grandad used to joke that you don't drive an alfa, an alfa lets you go for a ride, and how long that ride is is up to the car, not long in some of the earlier models!!!!

Yeah I've heard all the complaining about Alfas being unreliable etc but I don't know anyone with an Alfa that is any less reliable than the next car. Mum's Skoda has been less reliable than my Alfa over the last 2 years and they've won awards for being the most reliable car in Europe.. Hmmm

I've been riding for 20+ years now... and in that time I've had some cool bikes... oh, and one car, which is a cheap commuter-box-BMW320i maily for lugging groceries
