Is anyone considering a visit ? Ive been looking at maybe going for a few days.
Im looking at a few options .... not sure if Jetstar are operating the 787 (Auk to Melbourne) as yet , but i found some good seats on Emirates , 737 to Akl , then A380 to oz , and reverse on the way home.
Im looking for a ride on some of the new stuff (bucket list)

Happy to share costs if anyone is interested.

Marty , love to go but current disposition puts me in the next show .. but little ways out there is a brilliant B-24 museum and a aircraft getting rebuilt about 30 minutes away heading back to the Geelong and turnoff on the right .. well worth checking out , but only open every second/third day.

Well sold my first artwork today, but first they have to make sure they can move me - still a problem... good thing is all this time means that Liberator must now be looking pretty good.

Dont normally reply to my own posts , but Im working on an itinerary . Its seems i will have to be away for a few days to get to fly on the aircraft i want to.... but its a bucket list , so what the hell.
Anyway ...so far im here :

26/2/14 NZ 500 CHC-AKL (A 320) i think .... full day in AKL waiting for the MEL flight.
26/2/14 EK 407 AKL-MEL A-380
03/3/14 JQ229 MEL-AKL B-787 (2 nights in the big AKL)
05/3/14 AKL-CHC NZ651 B-737
Total cost of air travel :$580.00

Not to bad , just have to factor in accom , airshow entry , expenses.
What the hell , you only live once .

Thanks Dashcap .... the airlines (agents) are very accommodating if your interest is more the journey , rather than the destination.

One off the things going to a airshow is the flight, come to think even if an airshow is not a destination, but hells April 2004 was a one thousand dollar day but memories are still so fresh like it was yesterday, 10 years and i still recall every bit of it cool.gif ... I'd say kick the chocks and away you go and come back with same mind boggling wallpaper in you brain-case cool.gif

Those flight details have to be confirmed soon .... but my boss seems to think im going to be busy until mid march , so it may change.
That airshow is not a major one anyway .... so i may end up just flying between here and oz and just staying at the airports.
But one way or another , Im flying on an A-380 and a 787 ..... despite what he says.

My bucket list is short , but this is the first bit.
