Time passes fast.

Can you believe we are almost finished with June ... where dose the time go ?
I've just received a tax bill to be paid by February next year...only 8 months away......I still owe them $500.00 that should have been paid by February this year, it was less but they add penalty's.( and they can wait)
This really bugs me , I'm 70 next year, and at this stage will be working full time.....but I'm taxed on my salary(which is considered close to the minimum) , and the super...which puts me into a higher tax bracket.
I haven't been good with saving over the years, but I've had fun, and don't really regret anything.

It would be nice to think that the fact I'm still working and contributing to the tax take...it would some how off set the tax on the super....anyway, don't wont to get pollical.

Yeah, tax eh, what a joy. My problem was always that my income was so variable, but these days it's 100% Superann.
You can change the tax code on your superann, from memory, my tax rate on super was higher in the first couple of years, while almost nothing from the business, so I invariably got a refund. Of course if you plan to retire in the next year, then not really worth it. But maybe you'll just keep at it, some people do.
If we were going to get political, I could go on and on....
