Two more Sims

Postby Splitpin » Sun Jun 30, 2024 5:32 pm

I couldn't resist 35% off XPlane 12 on steam....just finished the download.
And earlier this week I got P3Dv6.1....much tweaking to do there . As yet no support for it from Orbx etc.
I've read things that imply this (v6)is an alternative to MSFS.....If what I've seen so far, is as good as it gets, then its only rival is FSX.
But its early days , and to be fair I haven't had much time alone with it.

I never really considered P3D... don't know why. It didn't look to be much better than FSX, I guess...
XPlane12 looks interesting, but I found 11 somewhat temperamental to run, though great when it did.

Visually P3D is lacking and needs lots of add ons to raise that. However, the flight physics are much better than MSFS. Hopefully this will improve with 2024.
