Snail mail

Postby Splitpin » Fri May 06, 2022 4:21 pm

Isn't it odd, the different times that overseas mail takes to reach us here in NZ.
Since late March I have been spreading my meager funds worldwide, Australia, UK, US, and Germany.
On the 25th of March, I had a parcel depart Phoneix Arizona, it arrived in LA 2 days later, and sat there for a month...it finally departed there on the 27th of April, and is now resting in Tokyo...and that's USPS first class mail.
The order from Australia , was dispatched 7 days ago and is still in Sydney "awaiting a flight" ...BUT, the one I ordered from the UK 10 days ago arrived yesterday.
The one from Germany was posted on the 19th of April, but I chose a non tracked option on that one ...will wait and see.

Ugh postage is a nightmare at the moment. My old man is waiting on magazines posted from the UK in Feb still. I've got something coming from the US and another from Germany. They're looking at a month a piece but we'll see. Then I did a relatively large order to Special Hobby in CZ expecting it to take three months minimum and it was here in three weeks standard shipping.... Can't predict it at all.

I ordered this on Good Friday, and it was delivered on Thursday. I thought that was reasonable for a no-frills postage rate, given the two long weekends. Another item, ordered on Anzac Day and also from greater Melbourne, got into the AusPost tracking system under two numbers, one the full umpteen digits and the other just the first 8 or so. Both appeared at Melbourne Airport on the same day. One then became In Transit to Redbank (Qld), and the other In Transit to Brisbane. That evening they both were transferred to Sunshine West (still in Greater Melbourne) but the item was delivered here next day

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

There is a CHATEL or SUNDRIE where Mail is intercepted and swapped with inferior items if it is a Parcel. They rewrite mail as well and people get different messages to what they sent originally. When it is UNSEATED people may get the original mail that was sent to them. They might also get other stuff it is hideous the extent that THE NEW ZEALAND SECURITY INTELLIGENCE SERVICE and their other organizations people such as THE GESTAPO have gone to CONTROL INFORMATION FLOW to the Population. The trigger I have heard was one person sending a letter to himself and then a second time as some sort of beginning to the CHATEL/SUNDRIE. It expanded from there to the entire planet. :@
