Pizza woes

Postby Splitpin » Fri Sep 18, 2020 7:24 pm

Oh my goodness ...all I want to do is eat, well sadly with a pizza company that starts with D, they make that very difficult indeed.
I tried online for almost 20 minutes, before resorting to the phone .....no better....I'm not being awful but I couldn't understand a word the person was saying....finally(after being on hold for 5 mins) ...I was put onto a person with a local accent.
Anyway ...as I type, I also eat the pizza I ordered.... arrived way before they said it would.
So, what have I learned here? don't order with these guys online ....just call .....the pizza is great.

It's a funny-old-do...
..Pete-zaas..
..but I could never get on with Pizzas!.... ...!
A funny Italian; "food" consisting of bread stuff, and covered with tomato sauce, cheese, and other various edible stuff.
I occasionally buy them frozen, from my local supermarket, pop them in my oven for my Supper, and after devouring them, I wonder why I did!
...never learn... :( ...!

A "Chinese", is also something which I avoid like the plague, never knowing exactly what strange creatures and grass stuff is in them!... ...!

A; "Mexican" is OK with Mexicans, like the folks from the S/W California.... :sleepy: ...!

...But a nice Home cooked, fiery; "Indian" is always something which tickles my Tonsils for a tasty Supper-time treat.... ...!

...otherwise its always; "English Stuff" for me every day, like Fish 'n Chips and Steak Pies, etc... ...!

Anything else is;..."Foreign"....to me!... ...!

Oven roast Sausages, loadsa fresh veg, mashed spuds, and magic gravy for Dins today!
..proper Food... ...!

Paul.... :uk: ... ...!

A good sign that I'm getting old -- I'd rather walk into town, than use the app. I have used Dom's app before, when my sister and I were in Whanganui, and it worked ok, except that the ordering process did seem a little backwards. Although at the time I had had a couple of beers, so it might have just been me. However I have now deleted the app.

Late last year I was visiting my son and daughter in Wellington, and we used Uber Eats. A while later my son got a phone call from the US, saying that the driver had crashed, so the order was cancelled. For the younger ones, that seems normal, but for me to hear from across the world about an order from up the road.... can't get my head around it.
