Had to laugh, when i recall a new years eve headline "chc looking forward to a shake free 2012" .....a nice sentiment , but also a real tui's moment "yeah right"....i guess it depends on your idea of shake free.
Over 25 so far today, 2 over 5 ......i think this is what chc is now, and will be for some time too come. And as someone far more eloquent than myself, once said......"bugger" ninja.gif

Was chatting online with Doug 1.30 this morn , he heard the lot and the large monitor did a dance then fell backwards against the wall ... coming from a different direction these new ones , they happen to be more intense , same feel pre last Feb quake .

Weird thing is , you have a quake and it settles for years , Christchurch was known to be the most stable mentioned before Welly was known to be the EQ center , i measure and post as regular as possible to the GeoNZsite , i have a very by compare safe place , but this continues and to the dismay of many i did say was going to another biggy - last night was a roller coaster , not scare mongering , but it seems you get receptive to them and try to figure , i have not had a normal year but quakes have giving me something to look at and seems understand a little chatting online from each area across the city and plot , you go to any web site , the info is there .

Sorry guys , hope im wrong .. but think the another large one is incoming , last month equals last years , but from another direction , again something you see in a small home watching -feeling and constant follow ups , the worst is the bills appear to going up even more steeply , insurance , rates , food , cost of Quakes .

Must be getting some immunity, slept through all the early ones and was only sort of aware of something around 6am. Not enough to bring me to consciousness but enough to be incorporated into my dreams.

That is so true , I hope i,m SO wrong , funny how looking at the graphs , I don,t feel the 3.2/3 magnitude or hear them anymore , now the quakes you feel are rated into the 4 plus s are a slam then its over , fact is the levels have come up more intensive but very short timed , that is the part is little head scratching .

Other way here , had three i felt , but that is the thing and measure the feel from each part off the city

End off the day , you send your findings to Geonet , simply mention the difference and affects/how intense any damage if any , they would have some data to work on and make a better eyeball on where the next hit maybe , no solution , it s simply when it runs outta steam .

Any of you ChCh lads ever lived in Wellington, am always surprised how little they react to quakes up there, I guess you mainlanders will soon treat the smaller ones the same way??

I don't get out of bed for anything less that a 5.5 -- although the 5.5 this morning did make me sit up.

Strange you don,t here happenings in Welly , CHCH was as i mentioned the sedate spot , we don,t feel the mid range unless its moved again but this is a new series , don't affect me other than souring cost due to damage .. Welly was known as that and a century off it , you brought into it , CHCH was .. EQ never in this world but that,s turned turnip .. its the different margin and area it affects over the entire region , I feel it now , but have had the shake all year , these recent are different .. this is were i say its going to POP , another destructive whamo , said to Matt , Lets hope not but the ground is moving .
