No worries mate. I was just passing through on my way south and all of these signs said something like 'Holbrook, the submarine capital of Australia' and Im thinking somethings missing. Inland NSW and the submarine capital? I come around the corner into the town and here it is. Turns out that the commander was Captain Holbrook and when it was decomissioned, the council set out to acquire the boat. Whats sitting outside is just the shell. All of the pressure hull was cut off and the command room and various fixtures ended up in the building. Observation periscope is still in place and you can get a 360 view around the building. Neat little museum.

Cheers mate. I was happy with how the camera performed in such low light conditions. Strange thing to find in the middle of NSW. The Air***k is one of two owned by Tazair. They are based at Albury in NSW. I did see the other one but it was in the back of the hanger.

Brother Al would be angry to find it in his home town , should have used Wodonga on the other side of the border VIC .. Wodonga-Air***k Wodonga -Air***k .. now that looks better biggrin.gif
