We've just had one of our speed gun people go down, so I'm looking for a replacement. The job is mainly hiding in a good fast part of a stage and logging speeds as the cars go past - or in other words, spectating. Targa are buying a couple more speed guns so you should get a real one. There may also be a bit of mid-point logging which is just sitting on a corner logging who goes past and in what order.
You'll have one of our charming 14yo's to assist you, his writing is illegible so I'd suggest you let him work the gun and you do the logs. If he plays up feel free to thump him
Transport and accommodation will be sorted, I'm aiming to find somewhere cheap with a spa pool or at least a hot pool, the only thing it should cost you is food.We'll be travelling down from Auckland to Rotorua on the afternoon of Friday 12 June to help with documentation and other pre-rally stuff, rally is Sat 13 and Sun 14 June, and we'll get back to Auckland sometime on Sunday evening - exactly when depends on whether we have to go back to Rotorua or not, hopefully not
