Tongan Volcano

Saw on the SIGMET reports today Volcanic Ash plumes up to 25,000 feet, which has apparently been causing Air NZ international flight rerouting.

Oh, and in other Pacific Island news... apparently a women gave birth on a Poly Blue flight from Apia to Auckland this morning and abandoned it in the toilets when disembarking! Story here. Can't ever imagine how she got away with that

Seems they get pretty nervous about ash - especially after that BA 747 over Indonesia in the 80's - good episode on Air Crash Investigation about that one. Imagine that no warning, cabin full of smoke, then no engines. WTH
