Yep.. prepaid... you have to keep topping up your credit... no credit = no outbound calls or txts....

I also heard that if you register your prepaid sim online, they give you extra credit... not sure if this is still true.

EDGE??? meh... 3G is where it is at... (this is also why the iPhone is being shunned in UK/Europe... no 3G)... what we need here is 'unlimited'[1] data plans... instead of this ridiculous 15megs for $402,432,123,987,349,433.17 + GST + arm + leg + kidney + first child per month... and then like $2/meg after that... <_<

[1] unlimited = some random cap like 1 or 2 gigs and fair use policies...

Great, thats exactly what I want.
I think Ive decided on a phone....

I know, its breaking my rules of no clamshell, but isnt it just beautiful??? I think Im in love!... and I dont mean in the sense you get with cars and women... :D
It can hold a 8GB microSD card. It has a music player. Its very good looking. And, Its got all the other thingymabobs that I probably would never use aswell!

I was just checking out vodafones supa prepay plans, and TXT2000 looks pretty sweet. Pretty much all you can text for $10(within vodafone ofcourse). Wonder if I would use that many texts though...

This just seems to get better and better. Wonder why I never got onto it earlier!

Yup, thats whats written on my sim card packaging. Register, and get $10 free credit. Was a little dissapointed to see that a $30+ sim card only comes with $5 credit tho...

Edge/3G, the main purpose is the same. 3G is getting really cheap over here. 2GB a month for $29AUD. Cant get much better than that ay. Thats for a laptop BTW, not sure how much it is for a phone.

2000 texts per month is a lot.
=66 per day
=~3 per hour, every hour. :P

Which begs the question of who would put up with someone texting them heaps like that. :P

I'm on Telecom's $10 Text. Sometimes I might use 50 a month, other times maybe 250. Works well for me though, being able to send texts free to Vodafone and Telecom after the first 50. (They charge you for the first 50, the following 450 are free; normal charging thereafter)

International txts are such a rip, when I was in the UK I had my nz vodafone phone and it cost me $0.20/txt sending them to NZ. But on Telecom it costs me $0.30/txt to send to Aussie from NZ >:(

Well, I made up my mind, and brought the V6. Overnight courier should see me getting the phone by wed or thurs.

I dont think I would even use up 2000 txts in a year, but I know I will use more than 50 per month, so really, TXT2000 is the way to go for me.

If ya get a young chick txtn ya I can assure you that you would very quickly go thru 2000 txts my record was 2000 txts in 15 days on my 027 phone and used up all my 2000 txts on my 021 4 days before the end of last month.

Good Choice on the phone too.

Just to clarify when I say young I mean 18+ hahahahahahaha.

Sorry guys have been putting in some long hours like 60+ a week and some weeks only allow for 1 or 2 days off but I have to say Sunday night was the worst after getting a beating in town no major damage just sore ribs after getting a boot to them.

Will try get on a bit more but with V8's coming up I don't see much chance of that happening we are all pretty flat out and picking up extra shifts where we can just to help out.

Peace out guys catch ya all up soon.
