G-Mail Attatchments

Does anyone else here use G-Mail?

The reason I ask is because I am having trouble downloading attachments, anything over about 500kb in size, from my G-Mail account.

When I say 'having trouble', I mean that the attachment downloads fine for the first 500kb, then says it is complete, even though the original file size is much larger. When I try to open the smaller downloaded file, it tells me there is an error (quite obvious really as only a small percentage of the file has been received on my PC)

I searched the net for some answers, but only found a number of people with the same problem as me- no answers though.

It might be of importance that I am on a 56k connection... Firefox is my default browser, but I have the same issues in IE too.

I would really appreciate some help as Keagan has sent me some videos of a Tiger Moth landing at his school, but I can't download them!

nope, must be your 56k modem- i just checked and gmail is working for me. i have similar problems when trying to use youtube on a slow connection- it loads the video part way, then claims it's done when it only loaded one part.

in other news, hotmail is now 1000MB...

Well, if I were you Trolly, I'd use your Gmail through outlook express.

oh without a doubt gmail is better

its just that i use hotmail for all my mailing lists and the like. so now i don't have to delete them once they come in- i can just leave them
