Was sat up at the airfield eating my lunch today when a bit of activity occurred...................SMAN Petrel ZK-JAQ appeared from its hangar taxiied about up and down the far side and dis-appeared, then Coyote ZK-WMR taxied out with ZK-RSR Titan Tornado and took off and then at the same time Hughes 369D (500) ZK-HBA landed.............then it all ground to a shuddering halt !!
Also parked outside was Pa38-112 ZK-VBM and also outside was (is) an Islander with "Vanair" titles on the tail destined for GBA ?
Lunch over and off I went

That's the old Nelson Aero Club Tomahawk! Perhaps it's finally been sold. I never got a chance to fly in it either.

Sorry Charl my days of trawling airfields/airshows taking pics has long gone, mind you "if" ever I get out there with my old slr then I do shoot away.

The last out and out pics I took were back in the UK for a trip and it was the 60th ann of the spit and I can tell you seeing and hearing 13 spits land at Eastleigh (Southamton),my old airfield was very very "charged".
They all did a flypast which was then a record since the war,got the pics of it all somewhere.
