Yea they are using alot of Bay Sector IFR training slots over the last fue weeks as well....

The other day was in hold at hamilton at 6000ft and had a Herc below me and another on the NDB/DME arc
From wat i have herd they do the instrument approach then circle visually a few times then disappear off some ware else, i have seen this done at new plymouth and taupo in the past as well...

Yea sounds about right NZ06AR they would have been sitting around 2500-3000ft passing over-head the city we saw them do about 4-5 passes and they dissappeared so we figured they had landed at NZHN.

PS: NZ06AR what were you flying around in Fixed-Wing or Rotary

Saw them too, went on a cross country on Wednesday AR-CX-UN-TG-WK-RO-AP-MA-AR, when we stopped off at RO for a casual feed a herc rolled in and did circuits.

NZ06AR was flying a BE76 Duchess
