A newly laid surface, a slippery surface, and a surface without Groves in it- Combine to make a death trap

Saba
Funchal
Queenstown
Wellington
Lukla
Innsbruck

San Fran in a way because of the simultaneous operations with only 28L aircraft able to use ILS and 28R having to come in at an angle plus the fact that 01 is used for departures thus meaning aircraft cross other aircrafts paths.

Wellington??? I only know of one "accident" and i think a type popped on landing.(<-correct me wrong->) and i think that was when it was first opened.

actually weather makes Wellington quite dangerous as it can get very windy so flying can be like having bad frame rates

A NAC Visount ran off the end of Wellington's runway many years ago - the Vulcan was a seperate incident (Wellington opening airshow)

London city could be prety fun.. don't know if its "dangeours" thow, and that must be intl. Innsburk would be one of the most dangerous for sure, theres some prety interesting approachs around the world, whats that one in Washington with so many sharp turns, even one seconds prior to touchdown, just to avoid proctected airspace.

It takes alot to be "dangerous" thow doesn't it, I think weather is the most easily to classify as dangerous, approachs aren't really, crews are trained and its all prety to the book how it shoudl be done, its the weather that in the danger, so what I said aboves proably not qute "dangerous" more just an interesting challenenge.

Wellington would be up there, the winds are one of the most dangours things in aviations ae.

In terms of larger aircraft i'd say wellington is the most dangerous. If something went wrong say with a 767/A320/737 it could end up like a sao paulo incident being so close to population.

How exactly could it end up like Sao Paulo?? Theres nothing off the end of the runways except sea. If the aircraft was carrying any speed at all, it would go straight over SH1 at the northern end.

Yeah, an aeroplane would have to be going perpendicular to the runway to do too much damage at Wellington :wink2:

Strong crosswind? Could go into homes/buildings to the side.

Evans Bay tends to funnel that down pretty straight and true

Would have to be a 50 or 60kt crosswind to get that. Because of the hills, its near impossible to have this.
