Also heard on the radio that due to the extremely low cloud base, the bomb disposal unit that were supposed to be arriving by helicopter, will now be coming by road, and arent expected here in Tauranga till about 5pm today.

Good question Andrew...........................
And i work less than a kilometre from the airport. I was there this morning.
Scary thought,.............. big boom.................
Still, i guess somebody must have an axe to grind,........... assuming its the real deal of course.
Guess we will know more later today after the bomb disposal experts get there.

after finding a suspicious parcel inside the terminal building.

lets close an entire airport then ae, sounds like the curior droped his package....

For goodness sake id walk in there and "dispose" it myself, with a long stick, one could almost call this oversensitivty, just go give the damn parcel a good boot.

oversensitivity.

Well apparently on the LAX customs form the last question is:

"Is your sole purpose of your visit to the U.S.A. to assassinate our president? - yes or no"

What idiotic terrorists are they trying to catch.

Seriously who would tick yes.
(I got this from Rove Live)

The comedian said he was tempted to tick yes then cross it out and tick no

I bet if there was a question like that, and you even paused to consider the question, you'd get a full cavity search and then get refused entry.

Apparently my old high school once called the bomb squad in when someone left a schoolbag in the middle of a playing field... (this was before my time there)

Did we ever find out what was in the package?
The paper this morning just said that the bomb squad found no need to detonate it.

I loved it in CHC when this guy left these packages outside buildings and people thought they were bombs. One funny one was there was a package outside the police station which actually turned out to be someone's cut lunch.
