My grandfather who died earlier this year was a captain on DC-3's in his commercial flying days (he also flew 737-200s), and I would love to know more about this aircraft. Please, if anyone has information, I would love to know

Yeah OK, but any real information? Like year built, airlines, distance capability, engines, speed, etc.? Also Would LOVE it if someone had piloted or flown one and could tell what it's like!

Don't think u will find a Dak pilot here , Have a good friend flys the DC3 outta Wiggy shortly to be based in Ashburton , a list of the type operated in NZ i have and all other details , recommend the MAAM dc3 for realism for FS , having pilot notes and many books , one quote from 1 of them said "any ham fisted pilot could land it in a cabbage patch" after flyin outta 2004 Wanaka in the front office I believe so and landin back in wiggy , yip .. 86 from NZCH to Welly and back in howling southely ..
I ll contact Dave and see he will be interested in jumpin in this forum , I should do a paint off this plane for further interest ... Sure he'd buy update pc if he veiw the latest devolpment .

Hi
Ian mentioned MAAM - here is a link http://www.maam.org/maam_sim.html and select Free Stuff. Apart from repaints etc (including NAC and Pionair) there is a .pdf of an original C47 manual.
