Cool video- how did you manage to get in the jumpseat?
I'm guess it was an Air Chathams CV580? What airport were you flying out of, I couldnt make it out?

Unfortunately he wasn't in the jumpseat (long story)
It was a Pionair CV580 on a charter flight returning to Wellington from Christchurch
(Him and 50 or so others went to Christchurch on the Wellington College - Christ College Music exchange)
Apparently (or so I've herd from couple of other people who went on the flight) said there was condensation on the roof half way through the flight, you could see the wires etc. and one guy said that the wall was peeling away at a corner so he pulled it back and saw all the insulation.
Man that would've been a fun flight.

The title, "Me in a convair 580, From the jumpseat..."
is a bit misleading then!

It's my mission to get a flight in one of those sometime, even if it means making a trip out to the Chatham Islands, they seem like such cool planes.

Noisy plane on takeoff. That condensation is from the A/C intake or something. Great plane. And we could actually take the inner windows out of their panes if we were by an emergency exit. Kelburn and I came up with a rumour at school that scared the rubbish out of even some 7th formers going on the trip. I personally wouldn't reccomend going on one as your ears hurt for ages after.
