RNZAF Wise Owl at Motueka

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Hi all

I was reading a notice on the Hangar door of the Aero club today. Apparently the RNZAF are doing a Wise owl training exercise at NZMK from the 6th to 16th (or something) of March. What this means is, restricted airspace has been created around NZMK, and there's apparently a whole bunch of airtrainers buzzing round the place :D I'm going flying on Sunday, might see a few.

Pretty strange I thought how they chose Motueka with it being so close to the Motueka town centre, the Motuekans must be going a bit mad with all that buzzing (or at least madder...)
